With its numerous lectures, panel discussions, and lecture series, the HCA facilitates a dialogue between academia and the general public.
Its key lecture series include “Encounters,” which sheds light on the relationship between the USA and Asia; “Migration and the Americas.” which focuses on Latin America; and the Baden-Württemberg Seminar, which, in cooperation with the American Academy in Berlin, offers a wide range of topics at institutions throughout the state. In addition, the HCA regularly welcomes distinguished speakers, such as Federal Minister Christian Lindner for the Alfred Weber Lecture, U.S. Ambassador Philipp Murphy for its commencement, and historian Carol Anderson for the Pennington Lectures.
